Austin, Texas – March 19, 2019 – When City of Lubbock Utilities decided to undertake an ambitious plan to modernize and add core applications in the Cloud, it called TMG Consulting.
Since 2017, TMG has provided Lubbock with acquisition and implementation services. City of Lubbock Utilities provides the customer service and field service functions for electric, water, solid waste and sewer utilities, serving more than 260,000 citizens of west Texas.
Lubbock is one of the first North American utilities to implement core enterprise applications exclusively to the Cloud using Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Service (CCS), a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that is built on the foundation of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing and Meter Data Management software. Additionally, Lubbock is also implementing the Oracle Field Service Cloud, which will enable the utility to manage its field work more efficiently. These applications extend the program, which also includes the City’s advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project currently underway.
TMG will be co-presenting with Lubbock at the Oracle Utilities User Group Conference (OUUG) 2019, March 19-21, in Austin, TX. During the presentation, attendees will hear about Lubbock’s planning process, its decision to utilize Cloud, and the advantages that are expected when this project and related integration is complete.
The session will feature Jamie Cook, customer service and billing manager, City of Lubbock Utilities, and Debra Ardoline, vice president, TMG Consulting. TMG is a presenting sponsor for the OUUG.
