TMG Consulting Announces Addition to Global Leadership Team, Bob Champagne, Vice President of Digital Innovation and Research
Austin, Texas — 17 October 2019— TMG Consulting announced today the addition of Bob Champagne to its global leadership team as Vice President of Digital Innovation and Research. In this role, Bob will be responsible for overseeing TMG‘s portfolio of Strategic Research and Digital Practice designed to help Utilities discover, implement and monetize new opportunities for digital innovation as they position themselves and their operating models for the future.
Over the past 27 years, Utility executives have relied on TMG’s cutting edge research, best practices and implementation methodologies to guide many of the industry’s largest and most successful technology deployments. “Key to our success has been a deep understanding of current technology and vendor landscapes, and how these capabilities can be best integrated to drive maximum value for the Utility and its customers” said Mario Bauer, CEO of TMG Consulting.
“Our Digital Innovation and Research practice will build on these capabilities through a suite of solutions designed to help clients keep pace with new opportunities for digital transformation, and facilitate the introduction of “best fit” technologies, vendors, and capabilities needed to effect change,” added Bauer “Bob’s deep industry expertise and track record driving innovative and transformative change will be a big asset to our clients as they grow and expand their digitalization initiatives.”
Bob brings over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, leading business transformation initiatives across a wide range of functional areas including customer operations, marketing, sales, customer experience, energy supply, and smart grid. After starting his career with Entergy, Bob held consulting roles with KPMG, UMS Group, and onVector consulting where he worked with a number of regulated and unregulated utilities on technology driven business transformation. Most recently, Bob served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Market Development for Innowatts – a cloud-based platform providing smart meter analytics, predictive intelligence and AI enablement to Utilities and Retail Energy Providers worldwide.
“The industry is finally at a stage where the benefits of digital innovation are becoming more and more additive- with value now extending well outside of today’s functional silos, and often outside of the utility itself,” said Bob Champagne. “TMG is in a great position to help Utilities understand and navigate that landscape and orchestrate their digital innovation efforts in a way that truly maximizes value. I’m excited and honored to be working with TMG as it positions its clients for this next generation of digital innovation.”
